Bartholomew Ambrosini - Professor of
philosophy, botany and Medecine at the University of Bologna -
was watchman of the botanical garden in there and, from 1632
of the Museum founded by Ulysses Aldrovandi.
When in 1605 Aldrovandi died, Bartholomew
was the editor of soms of his works as: Monstrorum Historia....
De Quadrupedibus digitatis.... (Bologna 1637), Serpentum
etdraconum historiae....(Bologna 1639), Museum metallicum
....(Bologria 1648).
Bartholomew Amhrosini was born in 1588, and
at his death in 1657, his brother Hyacinto charged himself as
a Prefect.
