Anthony Maria Ambrosini was a member of the Olivetano Order.
Round 1400 among the several Orders the
Olivetan members were rising and called in Milan by the
Noble-Man Balzarino Pusterla who in 1400 built for them the
Monastery of St. Mary of Monte Uliveto in Baggio. The
Monastery See of a scriptorium, very famous for its
miniaturists, was well known for Obedience so that the Monks
at Nerviano, in 1468, obtained a new house given by the
NobleMan Ugolino Crivelli: it’s St. Mary Crowned, destroyed
only at the end of the XVIII century.
In the XVI century for their vitality the
Olivetani were called to enter some Abbeys in critical
conditions: in St. Victor al Corpo (1507), ST. Calogero of
Civate (1556), St. Peter of Viboldone (1571).
